Don't think he is thinking that at the mo! LOL. Who got what? who,s got in ?

Hi all, quick thanks for the vis update late Friday, took a v late decision to head to East coast Filey area in hope for better vis. Was OK, around 5m, plenty of nice pollock.

With constant Westerly / nw winds this year I have only made one trip to n Wales, so genuinely appreciate all the reports as it has saved me many wasted trips!

I took a chance and headed down the south Llyn on Sunday, camped over and got in on high yesterday morning, vis started off poor close to shore, but opened out to a decent 3-4m in places. On the second dive a mackerel screamed passed, which I narrowly missed, a short while later a took a dive over the gravelly bottom which felt very unfishy, just as I was about to head for the surface a reasonable sized bass came along moving pretty quickly, I managed to train the gun on him and got a head shot that left the spear sticking out between the eyes. The spear was totally jammed in its skull and I had to climb on some rocks to work it loose!

Shortly after a small (above MLS) pollack came along, he too was on the stringer not long after.
I then got out to grab the girlfriend and take her in for a swim, we got in, bobbed around, saw lots of baitfish and wrasse, she started to get a bit chilly and went to get out, I said I'd make my way in diving along the way. In the shallows (around 2m) two small (again over MLS) bass came along, bang! another on the stringer. Happy with that I started to head in only to see what looked like a decent sized bass moving through the string weed below me, so I took a dive, I lost it but almost straight away along came two more small bass, one of which was to become mine.
All in all a really good day, clear blue skies, warm clear(ish) waters, three bass and a pollack. What's not to like?
One thing has struck me, I've seen a few bass this year, lots of pollack but I've not seen a single mullet, which seems odd.

got out yesterday afternoon on an Anglesey spot. In the water for ages. Vis 2m ish. Plenty of lobsters although I could only get my hands on undersized ones so ended up going home without.

Saw one bass, quite a big fella, probably the biggest I've seen to date, but he was gone before I really twigged!

This northerly seems to be keeping Anglesey all milky, but with some calmer weather due soon I think we could be in for a treat!
