Thanks for having a look , yeah I think minutes are the only option . Maybe I will look at one of the freediving specific computers. But most of these don't have a temp reading .
Just want some thing with bottom times and surface intervals in seconds , depth alarms and temp reading .

Suunto D4 has everything.

Suunto D4 has everything.

Thanks Dario , I have had a look at the D4 just now online but the pictures I have seen of the display show bottom time in minutes? Does it definitely have the ability to show in seconds ? Cheers

Yes of course!! It does everything automatically, you just have to dive and you will find everything on your screen.

Ok cool. i have an old d6 for scuba but it doesnt have freedive mode..... Which is a bit annoying.... The new d6i does however...

Anyone thinking of going at weekend?Winds are coming from north for the rest of week south may be good any thoughts ?

Have just heard from Crystal Vis that Rob Allen have ceased production of their carbon barrels and they will no longer be available from crystal vis. Im not sure why but just thought I would let everyone know. They probably still have a few left in stock if anyone wants one before they become unavailable.

Well spotted thats a more realistic price .As I would loose it or smash it in on the first outing !The vyper was 200 ponds but when scuba diving your playing with you life a little more so its worth it I think .If you have the cash then get the best you can afford .Scubapro are a good well known name I may go for one of them my self!Has it got a seconds dive time is the question? If anyone out there has one do let us know about it please.ta

I've done some more digging and it looks like dive time is in hours and minutes. :(

The hunt continues................

If anyone goes over to day can ya give us a vis and condition report ta.I was thinking about attracting fish and the "croaking" any hints on how you do it ?And how effective it is?Any other device for drawing the fish in?I'm going to try a bait ball next time I'm down if I've time.Think it needs to be in overnight may be to soak so to speak.

I had two dives today. First one on a south facing coast absolutely zero vis. Second dive west facing coast 6m vis absolutely zero fish :(

Bad luck bud .Thanks for feedback .Should of let me know would of come along if you,d have me could of at least split fuel cost !an had a sholder to cry on LOL.If ya don't go you don't know! Will leave it till next weekend I think.

I made it out too.

It's been emotional lol. Went to a new spot south llyn this morning: anglers rate it as a top bass spot so thought I should give it a go. (You follow a fence down a cliff, loads of big boulders and deep drop offs - some might know it). After negotiating the cliff, made it in. Amazing spot. Loads of pollack, big wrasse, bait fish and big mullet. But didn't see a single bass! Vis was about 3-4m. Took a mullet for my Dad (he likes them??!?). After 4hrs decided to move spots. Took considerably longer to get up the hill....and lost a lot of water ;) especially in a 7mm suit :)

Then went to the North. Got in for 5mins. Zero vis for me. Frustrated, walked back to the car with the light fading.

Went back to the south (aberdaron). Got a funny look off an old lady as I drove past her in a full camo wet suit lol

Vis obviously better. About 2.5m. Not many fish seen and again no bass! Nice final hour though.

Made it back to the car. Happy with the day, but thought a bass should have come my way, mainly as compensation for that hike lol

Next time :)

Happy spearing.
