if ya dont go ya dont know !Had a fantastic afternoon with Dyllun on his little rib .flatish blue sea, blue sky ,warm sun and great vis prob 6m +no silver seen but lots of big scallopes had .pick up by hand a doggy to try whos in oven now !. Went in on south side of Llyn ,big low water dyllun found a nice pipe fish ? Lots to look at a big scorpion fish ,loads of moon gellys,big dog welks,hermit crabs ,dog fish ,dyllun spoted a flaty of some sort .10 0c on vyper boys yes 10 0c fish will soon be here .and the spiders foxy !you could pick scallopes up in waist deep water !

When are you down foxy ? May be a night dive is in order looking at the fish the Dorset lads are getting ?.May go down deep south what do you think?.Dyllun get some stills up from yesterday you must have some thing !even if its the sea bed and good vis!.did the pipe fish come out ?Anyone else been out who's lurking about ?..................it wasn't cold boys....think I was to busy having a laugh and great viz to notice.

Nice one on the scallops not convinced on the doggy though! I've tried one but didn't rate it. Did you enjoy it? I got in at LW sat as well. I must have been around the corner from you. Vis was up to 5m loads of sand eels but nothing els. I kept expecting a bass to charge into the schools of eels. No such luck. Looks like weds night until next chance of getting in.
 
good reports everyone , nice scallop haul. Ive settled on a more lightweight boat package , a zodiac 285 fastroller and 5hp 2stroke with portable fishfinder to find reefs/changes in bottom . Will be down llyn sometime in the week starting the 6th of may if anyones about
 
Nearly forgot , does anyone have any wise words about getting back on a small inflatable in spear kit ?! Want to save the embarrassment of having to swim a boat in or worse just becoming stranded at the side of it! Ive see the soft ladders but not sure where I would fix one and surely you run the risk of turning the boat over on yourself?
 
It's really easy just to jump back in mate - just like a kayak.

Just don't have anything sharp on your belt and watch out for the bass spines!
 
Just on the side - it's really easy. Make sure you keep a little coolbox on board to put the bass in

Your boat sounds perfect - just what I'll be looking for! Need to get it sorted out asap really!
 
Cheers Will, that's a nice little boat! It seems a touch on the steep side though for a 5hp... I might drop them an email!
 
Yeah I think if you could get them down to 1100 or 1000 it would be a decent buy , the bow bag and under seat bag are 50 each and if they are the genuine zodiac launch wheels they are 150 new so they add a bit of value .
 
I've been looking at a 2.9 with a 4hp - does that size engine have enough grunt? Or will it be stupidly underpowered...?

Those little ribs are great there the way to go.minimal hassel weight storage ect getting in and out is doddle as your normally half in half out most of time any way pop in like a crazy little seal.ps dont let it float away like the irish lads did !.Any way back to dog fish chilli pie the bride did him proud!i woofed it down mrs thinks im barking mad .it was ok now wheres that tree.
