Transmission (two autos, one airplane, one marine)
Found a 1938 coca cola Canada bottle diving a local lake on Saturday![]()
'Airplanes do not have transmissions.'
Wan'na bet.
No, just being a nit-picker. The last piston engines that I used had a super-charger (blower) with two ratios. A two speed gearbox attached to an engine to control the blower, would qualify as a transmission but it is not between the engine and the prop. If you don't accept that then I owe you a cup of coffee when you get to Kona.
I changed my last reply but you accepted it as intended. Good. Welcome to the greatest sport ever. I started spearing fish in '48 and I hope to do it again soon with the new gun I just got. Would you believe that I've been having clearing problems for a few years but today I dove twice as deep and twice as long than I ever did for the first fifty years. 46 meters and 3:15 for a 73 year old will soon become commonplace.
