Objects found while freediving

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Numerous anchors including a galleon anchor near Great Harbor Cay Bahamas. A nice Penn rod & reel under the Channel 5 Bridge in the keys. It must have been sumberged for only a couple days because I cleaned it up and greased it and I still use it today ~ 25 years later. Alot of diving gear (weight belts, lobster snares, etc) and junk not worth mentioning.

Our most unexpected find was a "Volkswagon Thing", in about 15 feet of water, on the Great Bahama Bank between Bimini and the wreck of the Sapona. I guess it must have fallen off a barge in rough seas.

I found a dive light, and large heavy brass propeller in waters of Marquesas Keys (30 miles west of Key West).

Did you bring upp the prop??? Good God man at the prices for brass & copper these days you could retire! :thankyou

Mostly fishing tackle around here, and rubbish.

But there is a bath near us too, not that Im able to recover it, lol!!

Cooleset thing I ever found was a 5 litre bottle of orange juice that hadn't been opened. I put it in my car boot and had juice for the rest of the week. Plus, I always get good ideas when I'm in the water!

Ive found, in perfect condition all in one day:
1 pair of Von Zipper Sun glasses - Very expensive
1 pair of Arnettes Sun glasses - Very expensive
1 pair of Spys Sun glasses - Very expensive
then 2 pairs of cheapys,
I also found about 100 pairs of mardigraw beads spread out in about 45ft of water in a spread of about 200 yards spread all around,
My most prized possession is a very nice pocket knife, I carry it everywhere, works very good and is very clean.

You come across any bathing suit pieces, be sure and let everyone know. I love speculating on how things like that happen. ;)

Haaa, I saw how people were posting how the found beer bottles and cans and what not, I found probably found 100+ beer bottles and cans, It wasnt a pretty sight

No--that's where RIP had his ashes spread out and the left overs from the wake. Did the water leave a funny taste in your mouth?

Found a cell phone the other day, after the owner told me where he dropped it! I was swimming by and heard desperate calls for help coming my way! At least they knew to remove the battery and place the phone in alcohol to dry it out. Perhaps they had dropped it more than once? Nice family though.

I've found

Rash vests x2
shorts
2-3x sunglasses
broken rods
plastic chicken
plastic soldier
loads of golfballs
a Vertebrae of something
lots of fishing tackle
lobster pots
tyres

Still keeping my eyes peeled for the mother load

Wasn't in the water yet but last Sunday when I went into the 'Andy Gump' I found the bottom half of a string bikini. I searched the whole beach, twice, but I couldn't find anyone wearing just the top of the suit. Oh well, checking out all the pretty women was fun anyway.

Found recently in Spain a few ancours, the small umbrella one I use now to ancour my diveing line.
Offcause other things too, like masks, watches (under jumpboards), polished family member glasses.

Many things though the most cherished thing I found in the water is my spiritual self :D

Love, Courage and Water,

Kars
