Orca Breathe arrival and Trubridge Videos - update

Hello

I think Orca Breathe will be my next pool suit for dynamics, next season. I've tried many others this season, but nothing was good enough for what we do(finally, triathlon suits, are for triathlon, let's get over it, we need something special, that's all). As I hear, it would be the perfect choice, so it is my last hope to find something really good for pool. I have a few months untill the new pool season, but I am thinking about it early to be ready because this season(which was my first pool training season) I spent more time trying unsuitable, for many reasons, equipment than training :)

On the other hand, I'm a bit troubled about the size, I should choose, because I am tall and thin(188cm, chest 100cm, 70kgs). I usually order custom-size wetsuits which I use in constant weight, but there is no option, so I don't know if any size will be suitable for me. Only MT looks close to my size, but it will be? What's your opinion Orca gurus? Also, how about it's lifetime? I'm gonna use it 4 times per week for 4-5 months and I hope to use it for 2-3 seasons :)

Sorry for going off topic a little but is there any update on the artistic version of the record video? I can't wait to see it!

It's still in progress, but should be coming soon. The original score has been created, and the director is working on it this week.

Resting. It'll stretch but won't get tighter... Best to go a bit smaller if you're a boarderline size or at the bottom of a size range. They are very tight for the first few wears, but persist as they get better and become very comfy.

Deep South Freedivers can supply these suits if you're looking for somewhere to purchase it from. Deep South Freedivers

I got the Orca Free three weeks ago; used it seven times so far in the pool and gradually felt comfortable enought to get close to my max in DNF. It gives me nice streamlined glides but not better than my previous tailor made 1mm suit and I would have liked better shoulder flexibility.

I think the Orca Free is great if you get a good fit. For me so far the fit is not perfect and I prefer the tailor made suit for a max attempt which comes at about half the price and is also easier to wear.

Suit made after taken your dimensions and you can choose thickness, material, etc.

Hi,

One of my team mate is thinking to buy an Orca Breath wetsuit, however can't found a shop, where he could be purchase a smaller size, as size 4 or 5 ( he is 172cm tall, 65 kg, and his cheast is 96cm).

Do you have any tips (links), where he should try to find the above mentioned size? Or any comments, for which size would be the best for him...

Thanks in advance,
Balazs

I am thinking about ordering the Breathe, because I simply can't afford the Free. But I freeze quickly and I am not sure if the Breath would be enough for a 1h static session in a pool of 23°C. Any experiences?

I dont think that Breath will do the static job. Usually a 3mm or 5mm suit is the way to go on the static trainning.

Otherwise the Breath will give you superior glide on your DYN - DNF trainning and warm sea waters.

Hey

For those of you who has used the wetsuit for a while:

- Does it stretch over time (my was a very tight fit)?
- Any noticeable damage from extended pool/chlorine usage (the main reason I bought the suit for)?

Thx

Suit was very tight for me at first but now is just perfect. No noticeable damage from pool water until now. Worth the money.

I just did my first AIDA pool comp. Was a bit of a disaster and very sub PB for various reasons. One of which was training with the old RS1 (1mm long sleeve) and using the Breathe on the comp.

I know I should have tried things out better before hand but:
RS1 - 3.5Kg neck weight and 0.5Kg on hips. I don't pack
Breathe - 3.5Kg nw and 2.5KG on hips (no pack)

That was to get the same relative buoyancy. Also, it was a lot harder to naturally regulate buoyancy than I was used to. The shallow end (90cm) was floaty, the deeper (1.4m) sinky.

The motto is never to compete with something unless you have like 30 training days with it. But in general, I wanted to point out I really missed the old beaten up RS1~!
