Orca Breathe arrival and Trubridge Videos - update

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
I've only been at it for a year, but I have lost 20lbs! Ill lose another 5-10 thus year as well I think.

My strength is the same (or higher) as before... And I attribute maybe only 5 lbs max as muscle loss. Just up the protein intake and especially after an apnea training session / outing to preserve muscle mass.

I'm not sure how well my custom Elios will fit anymore.

Hi everybody

I do mostly DYN and DNF and I'm also considering an Orca Breath BUT, what's the added value compared to a swimskin like the BlueSeventy PointZero3+ or a Speedo bodyskin ?

Also, will an Orca Breath resist to chlorine and keep its properties after 1 year with 2 trainings/week in pool ?

Thanks for your input, I m really braking my head on this one.

Only thing I can comment on is that a swimskin offers zero thermal protection or buoyancy.

I find that my push offs are better with a bit of added weight (that buoyancy requires to neutralize).

The suits you mentioned are swim suits (~0.5mm). The breathe is a wetsuit (2/1mm neo). The major differences have been mentioned above. Although thermal protection is not zero for swim suits, but a lot less.
Swimsuits usually have muscle compression whereas a breathe-like suit does not have it (Will correct me if I am wrong).

Both types probably won't last for 2 Years/twice a week, even with good care. But I am sure you won't find a suit which lasts that long.

Hi guys,

Need your advice.
A person wants to buy Free or Breathe, but he's stuck between two sizes.

His parameters are:
Chest - 111cm (117cm with packing)
Height - 197 cm
Weight - 89 kg.

Is it size 9 or 10?
In case of size 9 - max defined height is 194, can those 3cm make some uncomfort tension?
In case of size 10 - this size is +10 kg than our guy has. If it means more neoprene in waist area, then it will be hanging on the person almost like the superman's cloak?

Should he try to get into size 9 or eat more to fit to size 10?

Thanks a lot!

I had the same dilemma when I bought my Breath and Will's advice was to go for the smaller size. He was right. Its still bit taught to get in and I am limited to gain a single kilo (this is good for me) but the performance and the glide is superior.

I would definitely say, go for the size 9 and not larger.

If you have patience, wait for Will's advice.

can anyone give me a hint how heavy and bulky the delivery package would be when ordering one suit (Orca Breathe) from the official website? I'm trying to save some 100 usd by ordering from Orca UK to my friend's address in UK, then get it shipped to Romania together with some other goodies, yet i was warned "it better not be big"!

Size 9 for maui400 for sure.
The Orca suit with packaging weighs just exactly 1kg (for a size 7).

just tried my free for the first time tonight loved it fealt well balanced and comfortable .

Hi all,
like some of you, after a while training in the pool I start shaking like a leaf and this affects my performance heavily especially in the last exercises!
So I thought the Orca Breathe could solve the problem.
My measurements are 180cm height, 69kg., 99cm chest and 78 waist.

Do you think size MT would be the right choice?

How much does it affect your bouyancy?

I'd try a size 6.
It doesn't affect your buoyancy as much as most suits - maybe an extra 1kg at the most.
Cheers, William.

Just got my 8 delivered, the pool is closed and I'll have to wait till Monday to try it out. Man, do I need to loose a few pounds - but the fit is phenomenal once I'm squeeeeezed into the suit.

A little tight around the chest, but that's expected until I shed some weight.

The missus is very pleased - likes the 'Rubber superman look'...

I wonder which size would be best for me. I'm quite skinny for my size: 185cm, chest 94, weight: 71kg.
I'd say either 6 or MT. MT might be a little too loose I fear (I'd like to be rather on the tight side).

They both have the same chest measurements, and would fit, but with your height the MT would be better.
