Possible new gun

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
it looks like its designed so you can "swing" the mech in from the top and then pin the back
phil

I saw that, time for a paper geometry plot with the stock dimensions.......
Oh wait ! the nerds have a iphone app for that.:)
Cheers, Don

so. foxfish, you went with the neptonics reef mech? with euro sear presumably? good choice if so

The paper catalog may say it differently, but on their webpage, everything seems to be listed by the ball radius. So a 5/16" radius would be 5/8" diameter ball . . .

I can't find anything in a 5/16" diameter ball. Or am I looking at the wrong bits?

YOU ARE RIGHT! i just changed it to the correct info.

. i just noticed that they have it as the radius and not the diameter. they DO have one of the drawer pull plunge ball bits at 3/8" DIAMETER that would work for a 5/16" spear no? i should have looked harder at it sorry

Nope!
The carbon backbone with cedar gun will be fitted with the Benthos reverse mech.
This is the gun I will be building as a db feature - however because of the discussions & ideas on this thread I will be building a completely moulded CF gun in my own time that will be fitted with a custom Neptonics Tuna mech designed for a euro spear.
Once I get going I will start a new gun build thread.

I like to go with 1/32" clearance just because I hate to put a bunch of work into something and then have the shaft rattle around. But functionally, the 3/8" bit would work just as well.
