I finally got in for a dive today as the weather was so nice. The viz was as expected really. We had 30cm in the shallow and 1m further out, so proper Braille diving. We were after lobsters anyway, and the complete lack of kelp really helped. We found a keeper and a smaller one we put back. We didn't see and fish at all.
With the recent storms, all the kelp had been stripped, but also there was lots of smashed rock. Not small pieces, but big lumps of reef just snapped off and bashed up.

Hi guys. I'm not local, but was hoping to come down this weekend. Any news on how it's looking around the Torbay area? Don't mind low viz too much as long as the sea is calm enough to swim in. Cheers.

Haven't checked brixham way but the rest is pretty grim from winds from the SE, now being hit by SW which should help clear but nothing at the mo. sorry

Anyone know where there are some decent spots to get some mussels.. just moved to live near Brixham and as yet not found anywhere local?
Got in for a spear at Elberry the other day, not much about and viz wasn't too good but keen to get in next week if anyone wants a look in

Okay only been down here a couple weeks so need to get and and explore plenty, can't wait for some good viz and get out for a spear, so anyone keen for a look out soon and should soon have my RIB down here too 8-)

Thanks Steve. Just have to sit it out. Might have a tour of the bay. That way if there isn't any viz not too far from home.
Dorset boys reporting similar.

I walked the coast path from Brixham to Kingswear yesterday with my family. As you can see it was looking quite inviting. Possibly a bit milky but I was wishing I was diving!
