Hi all went in with Dan to find poor viz did see lots of bass big shoal off bass
20 >30 coming from every where got greedy waiting for a big bass to come closer got nothing :vangry did see a big shoal of red mullet 30>50 some over 1lb really in hurry could not get a shoot to fast did see the legend peter out really far out no boat:king when you think how old the guy is shame on us
did mange ok despite the poor viz:head looking forward to better viz soon i hope i am feed up to dive in minestrone soup:rcard good long shore dive did have tired Dan in the kitchen tonight the best part for me was when i try dan leaky mask went down no leak shoot 3lb mullet :t you should have seen Dan face any way not a bad haul after all

went for a dive today at a new spot with chris viz was the best ihave seen it in a long time and the grounds were amazing just one thing missing FISH or i was scaring them off lol...
when we were getting out bumped into spearheads and he aid that we wernt goin far enough out for the bets of the fish at least we knw that for next time good day though even if i was fishless cheers for the lift chris

I didnt do to well. Ended up with 3 nice bass. Didnt see much for first 2 hours, then during end of dive lots small bass wizzing about and the odd nice fish which didnt want to play with me. going to dive it tomorrow again but later in evening with the rising tide as that is when most the fish where showing today.

I agree! Just post up the location, nearest carpark, best tide time and direction and we'll all head down there to fish responsibly!!!!roflroflrofl

Just a heads up that anyone planning on diving thurlestone, spearos are not welcome. when i got out the water today. The owner of the the private car park came over saying he had a nu,ber of complains of 2 "spearfishers" getting out the water with loads of fish yesterday. The only spearos getting out at that time was Me, and dave L, we had 3 fish each. And apparantly we had 30 fish!! haha. He carried on talking *******s, saying spearfishing is cruel, and un fair for the rod fishermen saying we are taking all the fish they havnt been able to catch anything recently. He said that no one spearfishing is can park in his car park now. Also the national trust car park near by has banned spearfishermen. He was convinced i was commerical, and took my number plate number hahaha to "report" meeee lol. He then tried to charge me for parking... But did not succeed.

On the diving side of things, turned up to rough sea and a swell, I still decided to go in, Viz was still good 6 meters. Not much fish about, after 2 hours decided to swim in felt sea sick from going up and down!!. Picked up a 5lb bass on the way in so not all bad.

went in for a dive with ollietoday on the rising sea was roungh but vis good after a few dives saw a shoal of 2lb bass they were right in front of me fired but safety was on slowly turned it but when i looked back up they were gone i dnt use the safety so have no idea how it went on oh well.missed another sitter o a bass of about 2lb, then dove down onto a sandpatch where there were some rocks looked to the side of me and in the gloom there was a shadow coming i originally thought it was a wrasse but as it got closer i coud see its big blue head ,came right up to me then turned on it side got a shot right behind the gills and as i fired i saw another one of similar size shoot off struggled to get thebass under control as we were in some serious current weighed up at 8lb so happy as can be.also on 1 dive i saw a mullet go past then what i thought was a mullet then another mullet i quickly realized that the one in the middle was a nice 3lbish bass but by the time i realized it was to late took 2mullet and that was that ..

Yepppp, banned. Probably some holiday makers from middle of city who think meat and fish is grown out the ground who complained. And got upset seeing dead fish on a divers belt. Pathetic!...

A very worrying development , the National Trust owns some 705 miles of coastline . Apparently this has nothing to do with trust policy ; they did not know the reason for the exclusion , but suspected some " local difficulty " .
Not good all the same .
