Hi All,

Just got out of the blue juice, first dive since last year and since the baby was born. bloody hell was it cold tonight!!! water coming into my suit through holes i'd missed during the Elios' MOT!!! Zero viz and searing pain above my left eye??? stopped me going deeper than standing depth but still managed two mullet in the shallows. 2 shots and 2 fish = 100% success so far for the season then LOLroflroflrofl.

Still good to get in, use the boat and give the engine some work after its winterization.

hey Scott,

i've had this start at the end of last season and now its still there at the start of this GRRRRR. thinking sinusitis may need a big girlie head massage, some poofy essential oils and some down right shirtlifting yoga style chanting mantra to help me..... or sudafed and stop eating dairy products.rofl

Did see a big shoal or what ever you call a load of squid last night,it was just getting dark and i thought it was a big shoal of bass then realised it was squid.

A shoal of squid is called, umm, a shoal of squid.

The deeper water is clear enough Dan but the shallows where my sinuses kept me were in and out on the viz front. Plenty of dogs in the weed and the kelp is really starting to come on nicely.

Hi guys,:wave

Just want to pick your brains for some local knowledge, I'm not after anyone's secret spots just good ol fashioned advice. I'm going to devon cliffs holiday park for a long weekend in two weeks time and want to know which areas close to this would be good for a bit of spearo action, any pointers in the right sort of direction would be greatly received and probably save me trawling about trying to find some action. Also is there anything I should be aware of in regards to safety when fishing any suggested areas.

I'm also thinking of taking the rib. Can anyone tell me where the closest slipway to Devon Cliff's Holiday Park is, plus costings for lauch & Parking.

Hi all went out today to bag a few scollopsdid well got 2doz so all have a good feed at tea time . On the way back had a look in my lobster hole for the second time his year woooooooooooooo look what was in there 8lb on the nail

got in myslef today very choppy but vis still ap to 6 metres very quiet did take home a wrasse of 5.5lb should get some nice fillets off that

i bought a magic green filter on the net works a treat the only thing that annoys me is the glare you get with the sun


any thoughts on the bbq for end of may ??

Great Vid Dan, I really like the first person perspective view, it gives a great insight into the world of spearfishing. I think I am a way off trying that, but as a keen photographer it appeals to me. I do have a EWAMARINE bag for my DSLR but it can be a bit cumbersome especially with gloves on. It can take some good shots and I have had it in the surf at Croyde and even got a wave with it on my back. Had me worried at the time as it's a £450 camera in a zip lockesque bag but after that session my confidence has grown in it's capabilities. It's not bad underwater as well but the light needs to be pretty good. Well I am toying with a dip in on the S.Coast. A look at the webcam at Bigbury shows a small swell...I am also heading over Dorset for the next few days and am quite familliar with the coast there-better take the stuff! decisions, decisions!

I managed to get in for a quick raid on Cornish fish stocks today, within 20 minutes I had seen a few nice plaice, however they were rather spent, so I carried on looking until this fellow presented himself. I saw a couple others but was happy with this one for the plate.
