Try some Otrivine nasal spray you can get it from most chemists and even morrisons. It`ll sort those sinuses right out. I heard some of the free divers use it before every dive to help with the Frenzel equalisation technique.

One more vote for Otrivine. Not used it myself, but the wife uses it for scuba, she has small Eustachian tubes and sometimes has trouble equalizing.
The Otravine sorts the problem, she started using it after consulting the ENT guys at work, it was recommended by them.

Be a bit careful with otrivine. It works alright the first time but has a strong rebound effect. You might find you can't dive without it after two or three uses. Like an addiction.
Flixonase is better. It takes a few days to work but it's safer in the long term.
Sudafed also has a rebound effect but it's less severe than that of otrivine. Be careful of what scuba divers advise. They need to equalise a lot less than freedivers as they only go down once. We go down lots of times.

just popped in for a quick dive today. Vis was good when you were more than 5 meters deep. Saw a rather large cuttlefish. Was wondering where the best place to spear these odd creatures is? any advice on the matter would be appreciated. cheers. Nice plaice Joe.

Went in for the 1st time this year with my mate who is keen to get into the spearfishing game. He wore a surfers shorty suit and managed an hour!!!! He enjoyed it but didn't see any fish. I saw a one mullet and quickly took the shot. He went mental and as I got my hand on him he broke off. I managed to get him on the stringer. He was 3lb 11oz. I saw a few small pollack, wrasse, a dog fish and a huge Bull Huss. It was cool just watching him cruise around. OK viz but I was getting cold after 1hr 15mins and I had my 5mm suit on :-)

Shiny1 reckons my mate and I will be like Laurel and Hardy in the water.

Shiny is thinking about getting in around nowish so we'll see if he posts later. He'll avem boy.

He was a spammer and Podge killed him :martial. Good ridance.

These spammers are a pain as they try to hide their true intentions by pretending to be a new member, even copying older posts to make them look knowledgable. They spam by puting hyperlinks in their signatures.

If you see one report it. There are loads of them but staff often ban them before you see them. Takes a fair bit of time and effort by staff but helps keep DB clean and make it the great site it is.
