Walking around the coast of pembs yesterday the vis looked excellent. Might have time to get in today.

Best get in today pal, magic seaweed are currently forecasting a 16-foot swell because of that storm!

Hey chaps

Assume not much has been going on since my last post due to the weather?

Went coasteering from Oxwich on Sunday, viz was rubbish whilst we were out and about but we did see some dolphins.

Surf looks good today and then it's completely flat according to magic seaweed so may be better next week.

Haven't been in nowhere near as much as I've wanted to this year which I'm really gutted about seen as the summer coming to an end! Going to start heading further west next summer I think!

Hopefully with the nice weather that's on its way this weekend may get somewhat better, I'm heading to mewslade to try my luck Friday I think depends what the webcams look like! Have heard that the mackerel are in, in big numbers too so everything else should have followed, heard the triggers are in too!

Going down to Chepstow this Sunday then to do a bit of freediving and get some practice in, hoping to complete my 3* next year then!

Probably my last dive this weekend, may do a few one dayers here and there so if anybody wants to get out if the weather stays good give us a shout!

Yeah, I've been in swimming/surfing, but the only really good day I had was down Abereiddy, Ash. Further west may well be the way to go!

I'm going to a wedding down the Gower on Saturday, but hoping to sneak in an hour or two whilst the missus sleeps off the hangover. Ha! Good luck with the course pal.

Unfortunately there aren't any clubs or groups in the whole of South Wales sorry pal! Closest you'll get to a group it this forum!

are ther people from swansea on here i would like to go out snorkeling and would love it some one let me tag along

Haha jaymz is still around but isn't on here very often, I'm pretty sure many including myself head swansea way, mainly the gower as anywhere further east you're not going to see anything! You've probably missed your best chance to go snorkeling this year, this weekend could be good though! Better off starting next summer!

Where were you thinking of going?

Hey Daniel.

I usually keep all my gear in the car so if there aren't waves, then I get the snorkelling gear out and have a look about.

Went in at Port Eynon this summer, don't really see much there as there's a lot of seaweed on the right hand side of the bay, plus you need to contend with boats/jet skis so I wouldn't really bother.

Pwlldu is quite nice on a high tide, there are rocks each side of the bay and you should find some crabs etc about. It's a really nice beach too, let us know if you don't know how to get there.

Mewslade is another nice one, but there's no real beach there unless it's low tide.

Haven't really been in anywhere the last few weeks other than with the board because of the weather. I'd just say get down the Gower on a nice evening and have a look about. Even if you don't see much, it's a nice swim on a warm evening like tonight.

Probably won't be in much more this summer as the football is back. But give us a shout if you're heading down and I'll see what I'm doing. I'm by no means an expert, I usually just float around and have a look.

Managed sneak from college yesterday so headed for Pwll Du! Didn't really know the way as I hadn't been there before and unfortunately couldn't find a car park, came from caswell side so maybe went the wrong way? Anyway headed to caswell, where I found I didn't have change for the car park and the card machine wasn't working so headed to Langland...

Got in just after low tide, viz was pretty poor, most I got was about 1 and a half meters here and there. Still saw a few small pollock nothing worth shooting at, one wrasse seen but by the time I seen it, it bolted, had one crab but put him back at the end because I didn't get anymore!

Gutted about the viz, thought it would be decent considering the weather but I think the large tides have started turning the water up! Anyone else been out?
