manalive that's a very good example of the normal conditions down the Llyn a lot of the time .so if its better than that when you've been out it s good .The vis is just like the weather you never know what your going to get hour to hour day to day !Have been stuck at home for a few weeks can't wait to get down maybe at the bank holiday weekend .Time spent up grading gear .What have you lot got on the end of your float lines clip wise to gun and float ?just trying to make new one up that won't tangle?

That's the worst vis I've ever seen, it wouldn't have been too bad if there were any fish about, but other than tiny pollock I didn't see a thing. My buddy for the day Edin had done a few more dives that me before I'd arrived, is a very good spearo and although he did see a couple of bass, but due to the conditions didn't bag a single one.
I have my float (Omer Atoll), with its original line, clipped via a carabiner to a d ring on my weight belt, I also have a small weight on the carabiner to use as a drop weight so that I can unclip it and mark an item of interest. I attach my gun to my wrist with a thin bungy rope, the bungy is attached to the gun with a carabiner, so the gun can be released at both ends if there's a problem

I like the idea of a small drop weight maybe with a 2-3m line with small brightly coloured float on it to mark something you've seen I remember looseing a massive edible crab on open white sand .I have my gun clipped to main float so i can drop it at any time and not worry.which I do often when forageing for spiders/ lobsters and bagging them on float then follow line back down to gun .its a pain dragging tons of crap around trying to keep it lightweight.
Got in this morning Nefyn way at LW. Long swim out!! first time out there ID'd this spot from a Dario Video. got a few dives in 1 Pollock 2lb then felt the tide was getting too strong so left , vis 3M but no Bass about.
When you guys dive and wait. Where do you tuck in? On top of the reefs at the bottom. middle or edge. I feel i naturally want to be at the edge and I usually swim around the bottom looking up over them. Any thoughts?
