Spearing north wales

Theres allways hope never give up or we will get nowhere im going to try and spear till xmas i was hoping someone would say the cod or other cold water fish will be coming in to shallower waters.lets hope for calm weather or wind from one direction at least.Thanks for that pat have change the way im mounting the gopro now from an arm sticking out side ways to under slung front end so i can swop it between gun s easly .it got in the way a bit when trying to load bungies on to back hook of spear.will put some pics up when intnet is fixed.

I think its looking good for the weekend from the charts tyipcal as im going down next weekend dont know what its been like all week wind wise but it should be ok if anyones down let us know. late sunday the fronts and wind will be coming in see what comes. Hope it ok for later next week.

Dylan and I got in on South side this afternoon. Hit the falling tide, which probably wasnt best as milky 2m viz! Dylan got a couple shots off at a couple of bass, but they saw him coming and hit the haze. Found what looks like a good new spot this afternoon. Great mix of cover etc but nothing to see today. Think This eve through to tomorrow eve may well work well though as the water is flat calm. gorgeous day though!

I had a bash on south too a little before HT, no chance for 90 and no matter how far I swam out could just see past end of tiny 55 sacked it after about 40 mins as a write off. Unfortunately couldn't hang around to see if it clears for tomorrow. Oh well if you don't do the drive and get in, you'll never know...

Great that you got out boys well done .Sure the practice gets you in the" zone" quicker every time i go i feel that little bit more relaxed.And you never know whats going to happen seeing new stuff finding new spots and new bits of spots youve been in dozens of times.hope it calm for me next week but going on murphys law today and tomorrow look best at mo.

I'll try get up early tomorrow and get in. (Ha after a few beers!! hmm??)Forecast looks good for a few days. Not sure it will hold till next weekend tho. I reckon vis will be fish able from tonight onwards. I'll keep you posted.

Any one get out today?Any vids anyone?Just noticed my gopro has round front lense not flat glassed dive one, does it make much difference ?

Sadly i had to come back last night... Although in the end I could have stayed out... Shame cos it looked cracking.... And for the next few days too!

You need the flat lens case for the go pro or it wont focus properly for some reason. I didnt shoot any yesterday but was tempted to put up some " guess the location" underwater vid.... Just to keep you all entertained.... Especially as there are no fish in it..... Again...

Hey bois, I got in this morning on the south side. water felt really cold, wet wetty didn't help tho. Viz about 2-3M maybe 4 at the bottom. No fish apart from small wrass.
Got in for a night dive about 8. X factor time, what better time to get in?? Saw some small pollack, one was a couple of lbs didn't get a shot tho. A small trout was attacking my spear tip. Just as I was heading in because of the cold, I spotted a big bass. Bang on the stringer. After cleaning it still topped 4lbs. Viz had improved to 4-5m in patches.

Cheers Denian, I hope theres still more to come. Weather looks good till after the weekend. i dont think the wind on thursday will mess things up too much. Vis has got to be going on 6M now.

Im going to try and get in wed eve the winds south easterly? Im thinkin of porth ore or aberdaron what do you think ?or shall i check my near by south spots first still have no intnet n cant see shit on this little phone !if hells mouth has surf im thinking so will aberdaron ?
