Thanks guys , vis' reports are useful for us landlocked types .
One and a half hours on the M25 , M23 and A27 ( if lucky ) to find rubbish conditions gets a bit tiresome and expensive .
So to all who bother to post the vis' etc after a dive , a big thank you .

It must be the best entry ever. Some great fish have been entered.

We've simplified the format so now the voting poll goes on the entry thread instead of being a separate thread so you can read all about the entries before you vote. Please reframe from posting on the entries/voting thread for now.

Getting near the close of poll, only another day to go http://forums.deeperblue.com/uk-ireland/84117-september-fish-month.html . Make sure you've voted and make sure your mates have. It's been a great month for entries and deserves a big turnout in the voting.

Several of the September FOM fish are featured in the http://forums.deeperblue.com/spearo-board/82043-deeper-blue-spearfishing-hall-fame.html along with a fair few other new entries and already an entry from October FOM. If you haven't checked out the HOF lately then have a look. It makes great viewing.

I had a look around the palace pier today , the vis' was 4-5m , temp' 15* .
The only thing wrong was the lack of fish , lots of bib , a couple of small congers and one nice bass hiding in the barge , which shot off before I could line up on it .
That was it , no flatties , one single bass , oh well maybe next time .

Sorry you had no fish Dave, we have had a few good weeks with the clear water, we had trigger fish, cod up to 15lbs a soul of 2.5lbs plus several bass in the boat last Sat. The trigger fish came out of a shoal a hundred strong and provided big tasty fillets. One not so good bit of news I lost the big bass I have been after for the last few years I got what I thought was the perfect shot at him in a hole at forty foot but he went off like a train despite getting the bouy line clipped on I came down on the next dive to an empty spear. I hope he lives as it is becoming personal now and it is over 16lbs.

Ha , Eric , that might be the difference between a fat bumbly like me , and someone who competed in the world championships like you .
Well done on the fish , triggers are one of my favourites , I suppose the cod was offshore ?
I dived Newhaven breakwater today , vis' was a snowy 4m , temp' 14* .
There were quite a few pollack , some worth taking , but didn't bother .
Saw a couple of bass in the murcky water at the very end , but was not quick enough for them .
Two blanks in two days , I don't mind though , I enjoyed both days .
As I swam along the breakwater a spearo in an orange rib was just leaving , anyone on here ?

Notice it always a massive fish when it gets away that got to be somthing that is built into speros, the ability for a fish to grow in our heads when it got away lol you so gonna cain me for this eric aint you

It regurgitated a ten pounder as it swam off which I think is you’re biggest so far, have you got any black line in stock if so I will pick it up at the weekend.

i wont be about me and my dad are on a coaching course but if i do ill make sure you get some i have not been well had a mild case of swine flue did not move for 2 days walking down the stairs still kills me even now :blackeye

Went for a dip at Brighton , mainly to try out some new bits of gear .
It was a bit choppy , but the vis' was quite good , especially further out , even the temperature wasn't bad , 13-14* .
The only thing wrong was the lack of fish , not a single one did I see , zilch , nada , never mind , getting used to it now .
But when I do find the elusive little *!<?ers , they're gonna cop it from my new Cyrano 850 .
