Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Spaniard, I seem to remember you have some Crapeaux blood in you although you are pretty literate compared to the rabble that come over.
However I would not bet against any of them drinking less than you ... they are like un caged animals when over here!!
This years OMD cider is pretty good, not too strong at 7% last years was 12.4% and not the best tasting. I have 20 litres left at the moment.

Yes I do have Crapeaux blood (Grandparents) and I can already taste the OMD Cider. I need to calm down a little seeing as I haven't dived in 2 years but cider certainly relaxes you......
 
Hi Martyn, hopefully you remember me, i've lost my previous account I was wondering what availability you have left for this years fish in, I wont be able to make the meal however but i'm presuming menus have been finalised any case. I need to check if I can get the weekend off work too . thanks Mac
 
Hi Mac, yes of course I remember you!
To be honest I am not sure where we are with numbers because several people have not got back to me however if I don't get conformation from them by this time tomorrow ... then yes you can enter the competition :)
 
Cheers Martin,really got back in to it lately , brought myself a new cressi gun yesterday and itching to use it , I'll speak with work today and ask what time I can have off. Cheers good to speak to you again

I thought you might Chris, there is a new Petit Bistro opening very soon although it was meant to open last January!
 
Yeah, good question, less and less each year it seems!
Not even any mackerel on the boat marks!!!
There are quite a few bass around (judging from FB post) but they are being speared at night.
We had a few bass from the fishing boat, plenty of turbot & perhaps a good sign .. plenty of sand eels on the feathers but it would seem the inshore fishing is off to a slow start this year.
However last years competition saw the best catches ever , over the last 9 years. So fingers crossed for good weather & bumper specimens.

Yeah hopefully all I've had on the spear is some pollack and one mullet ....out of the past 5 times I've been, its getting depressing especially when you see Jonny twofifty who ever that is smashing the pollack on his new YouTube video. I'm not a hater I'm just jealous haha
 
Ah well look on the bright side as Jonny has not entered the competition this year!
 
Hi Alastair, if you can confirm you can make it over before any of the others who have said they would like to come but have yet to confirm, then yes you would be very welcome :)
Try to give Chris a pm he may have room in his car?
In any case you can join us for the social, it is just the actual spearfishing competitsion that is limited to 20 divers.
We have 16 positives and around 7 members who have shown an interest but not actually confirmed.
 
Wow that's great! I've just checked the ferry and there is space, so was planning on bringing the camper van and the Doris! Just got to check the campsite and I'll be able to confirm as I wouldn't be able to afford the cost of hotels on top!
 
If you bring your camper van I doubt if you will be able to afford a pint of cider!
 
Team Event...inter island/ uk . The Jersey boys still hold the Team Tankard:) . ....any one fancy making up some teams and trying to take it off us this year? Prob only 6 Jsy spearos diving this year (the gambler is injured and may have to waive from the shore...or nearest pub!).
 
I'll probably do my usual team of one, (6 against 1 is acceptable odds) unless anyone from the UK is coming over and wants to team up?
