Fair point mate. I only said because I've got an Omer one that came with a "quick release" Velcro strap with a plastic clip. So I removed that and replaced with cord and ball
ha ha no it was a joke but a joke lee knows has happened 2 me by a buddy i use to go out with. i did find it funny tho and that is not the reason i dont spear with him at the mo, mainly as i do night dives and he dont and i also love my deep dives and he dont.

OK guys, a real little gem to let you in on then......get a grab bag attach plenty of line to it and tie to the handle of a 1 gallon cheddar valley cider container. Crack a fishing night light and place it inside the container and put the lid back on.
Now catch 20 mackerel, place in bag with some rocks and stamp the f#€% out of it. Take it out with you on your next night dive and place it strategically, leave an hour,,,,,,,,then........ Bang!!! Fill up your stringer guys!!

Out of interest, what comes to your groundbait bag? Any crabs and lobsters? What about fish? I'm betting plenty of dogfish anyway!
Hahaha it's funny you mention this. About 2 weeks ago I was saying to nobby about getting a catch bag with some crabs/fish in and mash it all up but keep it on me to attract fish to me. Then the other day I was thinking about using the fishing glow sticks to attract squid. Cheers for the tip lee
When near or on a reef : Crabs, lobsters and giant SNAKES!
Best to place it in a shallow gulley (ideally a shingle beach where shingle meets sand) with a tidal drag taking small particals a long way down the beach, then Bass and mullet city!
Another similar tip is to 'chum' a shallow area with 10 loafs of bread tuna fish and fish guts. slop it all into a bucket until fine moosh, then spred the love. Good for jumbo mullet.
Keep a water butt in your garden, or better still under a lean-to. emty the contents of a large bottle of Dettol to it.
Now when you get home after a dive at 3am with a pissy wetsuit, just throw the lot into the water butt, then sort it out the following day.
No more stinky wetsuit!!!!
