Neat way to travel! It looks like a very nice glide slope covering serious distance. In the sky we call that tracking. Body speed is around 200 mph. Ground speed is around 60 mph. In the water your foil allows you to track with arms extended instead of back..... That is a big efficiency improvement to your flying position! Looks like your arm extended / foil extension really extends your glide slope dramatically!

Beautiful to see. Cool that you had the video right on hand!

Checked the Lunocet facebook page. Think Neurodoc is the sole Pro poster there so far also. Dam has to break soon! Still think Noa may lead the pack since his has headed for Greece already. Think they'll start popping up all over once that happens. The arrivals and first swims will be a welcome topic!

Rather confident something important is getting into the boxes as we patiently hang on!

Instead of free-fall like the vertical glide in CWT diving, I call this a free-glide. I discovered that I could glide like this with the DOL-Fin Orca on a big island reef in Hawaii back in 2010. My glideslope was better than the reef-slope, so I was able to explore an entire reef structure by free-gliding. I would recovery breath while swimming diagonal back to the top of the reef. Like Connor says, you can do this with any fin with varying glide slopes. But, the magic happens when the glideslope is better than the reef-slope, because then you can basically glide without restriction.

The experience was just way too cool to keep it to myself, and when I returned to Kona in 2012 with the DOL-Fin X-20, I resolved to capture the free-glide experience on video and built a custom camera rig to hold the camera to shoot a selfie video. The Orca glides even better, but as you can see, the X-20 got the job done on this reef with about a 30 degree slope. With an Orca monofin, I could have tracked a diagonal glide, or had an even faster glide going straight down the slope.

Very interesting ! Thanks for sharing...

Yeah, it's now Greece vs Azores vs everyone else... : )

I bought it on February 16. Almost 2 months of waiting with no communication!
I was not happy with the waiting, I even contacted my credit card to cancel my purchase.
But I didn't cancel though, since I have known the news from PoseidonSv.

Hope it is worth waiting.

Seems like this thread is the only way to get news of Lunocet Pro!!

Hello Zeno,

I am very sorry for your difficulty getting a hold of me and for the delays. I had hoped to have everything finished up on all orders by last weekend and I did work all weekend to do so. Being a bit of a perfectionist, some of the parts made had flaws and needed to be remade. I am attempting to have everyone satisfied by the weekend. I am gaining momentum. Hang in there.

Noa,

I called USPS and had them put a trace on the tracking number I provided you... magically it now works. Here is what it says when entered just now. I guess it may be out for delivery today:

Already went to the pool and swam the suit in conjunction with 2014 Classic Lunocet. Nice!

It was my wife's ladies' water exercise time period so she could have helped get the rear zipper up for me. Remember I'm substantially larger than ideal for the XL suit........BUT I remembered the tip from this forum about going to the bottom to use water compression to tighten shoes...... Lanyard in hand I went to the bottom and it zipped right up! They are a bit revealing....... Could wear speedo underneath in the future.

Almost instantly arrived back at the surface. My wife noticed my head was now about twice normal size....... Sort of like a beach ball but with my face on it! She said that didn't look right..... So I put on one of those rubber swim caps..... Worked great ..... Head back to normal...but I guess the extra had to go somewhere.... Wife was surprised to get such compliments about her apparent good fortune in husband selection ¡?¡!¿!

Hello Marten,

Thanks for joining the forum even though I am sorry this had to be your first post. I also sincerely apologize for the problems with your order. We have had some growing pains... much larger number of order than expected. We are scrambling to get more tooling online as fast as possible and toward this we are gaining momentum every day. Regarding the lack of response on your emails, there again, most of my time lately has been on the shop floor and I have been getting around 200 emails per day and it has been difficult to keep up with them; I'm sorry about that as well. Your order is quite old at 3 months, however, and it may have shipped. Please send me another email with "URGENT" in the title along with your invoice number and I will look into it immediately. With the new tooling we have recently brought online, I expect to be completely caught up with all the orders we have within the next ten days but I will make sure you are taken care immediately.

Regarding what you paid, we sent an email out when we reduced the price which announced to each customer who had not yet received their unit that they would have the option of a refund for the difference or an upgrade to the Pro model. Please let me know which you prefer.

Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Hmm

Another 2 months have past, still no fins at my door step, and no reply on my email that I posted just after your reply on my forum post. I notice that some people that ordered their fins after me (ordered my fin in dec 2013) have received their fins. Will I ever get them?

Every day I swim with the Pro I'm feeling more at home with it. I have gone back to the classic Lunocet for a few swims, for fun and comparison. The two fins seem to have completely different personalities/needs. With the Classic, I like to do a fast surface swim with a rapid cadence of maybe up to a kick every second. After I'm warmed up enough, this is not as intense as it sounds, since the fin is very smooth and effortless to use. The Pro like a slower cadence for me, and rewards a relaxed smooth style with great speed and glide. I find that the two work for me depending on my mood and energy level. When I'm tired and/or stressed at the end of the day, I like to use the Pro and do some dynamics, enjoying the relaxed zen state that this activity brings me. When I'm fresh and high-energy, I enjoy the fast cadence and speed swim of the classic. I think my next acquisition needs to be a GoPro so that I can post some videos that would explain this much better visually than I can share verbally :-)

Neurodoc!
Enjoy your observations between the two fins. You help dangle the carrot a little closer. Still Enjoying my classic very much. Feel for the swimmers who don't have either one yet.......... Soon!!!!

Appreciate the guidance from the group on experiencing a slippery, flesh compacting wet suit or skin suit. The XL actually fits fine and is quite enjoyable for monofinning. There is noticeably less drag with it on.

Also had better luck making a neck weight this time using the mountain bike tube and the dog collar zip tied into the ends. Before I added to the dog collar which was uncomfy.

I wondered about the kinesiology of hanging toxic lead around our necks even though it's encased in rubber. I'm thinking of substituting some of those polished magnetic stones possibly gaining a boost from the energy fields. Just brain storming.

Been watching International news on TV in case Noa's Pro arrival in Greece is mentioned there before he gets it posted here.
