This will be one hot day!

curious about everyones gear, has everyone moved to higher angle mono's any of the new brands being used etc.

Just wanting to commend the cat on her wall-climbing. There are pictures of self-same feline swimming in the bath-tub. Also - MOST OF ALL - best of luck to William Trubridge and all the other divers tomorrow - may the joy you find at the bottom of your dive outweigh anything you ever found at the bottom of your Christmas stocking! Certainly the happy faces of the competitors from CNF suggest that there is something special down there in that hole! - Sam

OK, so Will dives today. That means no updates from him. I'll be your on the spot reporter.

As we speak a helicopter is lowering sophisticated transponder equipment to a small floating platform just outside the blue hole. Current permitting, we'll have the first spark transmission after the first break.

Go and buy large amounts of comfort food, put your feet up, relax, and practice your equalization: today is going to offer at least couple of kilometers of combined depth.

See you soon..

Great news, Azapa.... ! Looking forward to the reporting!
(Go, Jure - slowly but surely aproching 100 meters... New national record for Slovenia is in the making!)

10 minutes to the opening dive of Adel Abu Haliqa. The suspense slowly rises. Let's hope the transponder is in place by now, and that we'll get frequent live updates. Go Azapa, go! And best luck to all competitors!

GO GO AZAPA !!!!!

I bet most freedivers would give there left leg to be there today, so please help us out as good as humanly possible to feed our incredible hunger for news as it happens :friday

edit : maybe not the left leg but at least a good left carbon flipper.

Patience boys and girls, I did say 'after the first break'

oooops, sounds of heterodynes, static, Carlos Gardel (old tango singer) coming though, seems like the sunspot activity is not playing on our team today.... still trying, don't give up..

doesn't look like the connection is working to Chile...

Adel turned at 35, Mikko turned at 60m.
Alfredo set a national record for Spain, with 70m.
White cards also for Henning, Kerian and Tetsuya.
Antero Joki turned early at 80m, and Robert King set a new National Record for the US, with 84m.

Thanks Will,

But what the ... are you doing online. Go and chill , get in your zone , forget about us and focus on your dive (even if it is a ball in the park) :naughty
Just delegate this task of keeping us mortels up to date to someone else.

Any news on Jan Honysch? Or will we get the results at the next break only? And yes, Will, we do not want to see you here anymore before your dive!

Just saw this video. Not sure if it was already posted or not, and feel lazy to browse through the previous pages, so here you go:

Nice. I've got a review of Will's master class pending here on DB - it was perhaps the best training of any kind that I've attended.

Man, I wish I was there.

Fondue , I can attest to that. I was there with you :inlove
Already wrote a piece about that and my experiences here.
Nice to see that Will managed to get a local Bahamian guy in the class as well. Fast learner also

Just a pitty it is so far for most freedivers and also rather expensive , but wow what a place....

Best spot for a WC for sure, if we only could get the comms issue out of the way that is.
Imagine live streaming underwater footage and real time commentary (pay per view comes to mind). That would attract some sponsors

edit:reading Yasemins log, organisers could learn one or two things from them mediawise. They plan to provide real time video streaming and even 3D video footage of the WR attempt.
