So we already have quite a few folk booked up for the event :) however we would encourage any other guys thinking about coming over to make the effort to sort out their accommodation!
We have (seemingly) hundreds of banks over here but not so many hotels! Mid summer availability we be very hard to find for last minute bookings!!

I just had a look at the tides for this; nip tides low in the morning - should be epic :)

I think as said above - if you are thinking of coming over then it would be advisable to book the accommodation early...

That's us got our ferry tickets sorted and we'll be on the island from 29th July for 2 weeks.
Really hoping to manage to check out the Gouliot caves after seeing Spirits Vid and hopefully a trip to Jersey can be squeezed in too - cant wait :)

Sark has many caves, I know most of them but, there are still one or two very inaccessible ones that I might never visit!
The Gouillot cave system is only accessible by foot on very low spring tides although you can get in on a 1.1mt if you dont mind wadding waist deep through the entrance.
It would be a terrible shame for you guys to miss out on Sark for many reasons, there are plenty of natural beauty spots for the less adventurous too.

Looking fwd to meeting up again this year........... please leave us a few fish!

cheers

The Jsy boys

LOL Mike, don't worry too much about the fish. I'm sure they'll be pretty safe :)

I will do my best to take some of those weeks off work, weather permitting. If the conditions are good, we could do some midweek day trips to the other islands.

Our accommodation provider got us 10%.
Think it worked out at £310 for a behemoth 4x4 and 2 adults.

Er, no actually - am I going to regret that ?
I hear there may be a Volkswagen van heading South with a bit of space on its roof for the ferry ;-)

Volkswagens ? :)

If there was a spare kayak for the odd paddle that would be awesome Spirit :) I toyed with taking mine but we're travelling with a 6 month old and camping so I suspect I'm going to have the pickup and my hands full as it is.

I decided against taking it in the end really as all that would happen is Id be paddling over unknown ground to get to more unknown ground further away when there will be plenty to explore from the shore really?
If its going to add a lot to the trip though it may well just be getting chucked on :)

I have 3 Manta Rays that I can make available for anyone who fancies a paddle.

Thats very Kind Spirit, but the thing is that people need to know their yak and gear if they are going to be paddling in our waters, otherwise there isnt any benefit compared to shore diving. with the strong tides someone on an unfamiliar yak could get into a naughty spot pretty quick.
fair enough on the yak Grant, there is lots of shoreline...
