Hi Daniel. Myself and Kuya are in Bournemouth. We haven't been together yet (we were supposed to last weekend but I couldn't unfortunately). Feel free to come on down for a dive sometime. Also, I'm working just outside Salisbury as of mid July

That sounds great only problem is in a chef abd weekends off are hard to come by ha ha but I can hopefully book a few cheeky ones off I was thinking of piping down to mule rocks today any idea on tge via there

Thanks for removing the image speerolee, we had several complaints from other forum members. It is probably not obvious what the objections might be unless you were party to some of the early heated discussions on the subject. I won't make a value judgement, I will just relay my understanding of what the ethos is: essentially, folk like to see pictures of the big fish you catch, they don't like to see pictures of small fish (bad PR, gets some members "hot under the collar", some consider it unsustainable/poor sport/etc.) and don't like to see "large bags" (i.e. pictures of large numbers of dead fish) - typically that is considered one or more of the following: bad taste/"ungreen"/unsustainable/selfish/potentially wasteful/likely to upset anglers/bad PR/blah blah blah...

No worries...I'll put a bend in my spear to even out the playing field.
I will ensure I pick a select few before taking future pics.
I realised that when you post a pic up of several fish 7-8lb range and have a 2.5-3lb bass amongst they would indead look rather small abeit over the recoomended size and way above the legal size.
Also just a kind note to those who took a dislike to the pic of the large hual of silverfish. This was between 3 spearos, over 6 hours and over a distance of 6 miles!! So that's equivalent of 18 hours of a single spearo in the water....now I'm sure you can all do your maths and work that one out.
Let's just say that on avarage it works out as 1 fish per 1 hour in the water. So a 2 hour session in ireland for example would see your quata of bass :) and thus I am with the programme...:) happy days :) :) :)

Putting things into cotext is far more useful than blowing it out of context. Yes I catch a lot of fish, but I live a long way from the coast so when I do enter the water I do tend not to get out! Those that know me will vouch for my 6 hour dives covering miles of sechluded ground.
I'm not a great spearfisher; just stuborn and fit.
During last weeks dive we didn't see a single fish for 2.5hrs of swimming in tide! Then I personally took 5 large silver fish over 5lb and 2 schoolies over the last 3.5 hours of the dive.

None went to waste and my whole family enjoyed the treat.

Keeps me out of the pub, keeps me fit, puts a smile on my face and feeds my family.
That's what its all about guys :)

I walked up to Mupe Rocks last Saturday. It looked like a perfect day for it - there was a spearo down there with boat assistance. I am waiting on my new trolley then I will venture a bit further to such places.

Alan's abandoned me for a week..and to rub salt in the wounds he's staying at our secrect spot with his spearo gear!
He said I'm free to see other men this week as long as I'm wearing the rubber.
Just need to find some vis!! Nothing like sending him pics of donkey bass whilst he's playing away.

Walked down to Boscombe Pier this morning. Got there early and the pier was closed.

From the shoreline the vis looked very poor.

It seems spearfishing can be a frustrating past time... there have not been many higher vis days over the last 6 months down here(n) Anyway, the sea is flat today... hopefully the vis will improve soon.

Here's hoping for a belter of a summer :)
