Bryn: the weather has been **** (not good) for three weeks now and the forecast for next week looks even worse - so nothing happening at all here :( :( :(

To show how bad things are, Clive is going rod fishing tonight!!

It is not just the weather that's pants, what about all these flippin colds that seem to be about. I have had one after another for a long while now, not always proper man flu but enough to block up your head a real treat. I am seriuosly thinking about pitching my tent in the back garden and sleeping in there. I have done some long stays under canvass and nearly always find you stay really healthy with not a sniffle in sight. So if any body has any magical cures that do not involve onions, creosote, honey or a badgers nik nacks I would love to hear about them.
I want to give octopush a go but there isn't a lot of point in going when you can not go down more than 5 feet. Yours an increasingly grumpy Steve:vangry:vangry

um, at this rate I might have to dig out my beach caster again....not looking good boys!

One of the local shore anglers had a 10lb bass last night over here. No prospect of diving though as it's force 8/9 at present and even on the lee shore vis is zero. Torch is on charge though. It'll happen one day, just gotta be patient.

Dave.

Could be worse at least you get the colds when it is bad so you not sat at home with a cup of flu plus and whisky (yes that realy works) whilst everyone else is out catching fish lol :)

By the way Octopush is a great sport, play a bit myself def the way to go in the darkest of winter things dont seem so hard when the wind does finally calm.

Anyone a member of the Weymouth and Portland Octopush club?

I fancy giving it a bash.

It is here that I must confess a sin committed yesterday evening. I was lured into a warm swimming pool by some 'friends' who 'encouraged' me to try using bottles to breathe with under water. Dressed in short fins with silly coloured masks and lots of complicated equipment, they said I could try for free and it would be fun. Lured in by the word 'free' and lots of gadgets I agreed to have a go, I feel much shame and seek forgiveness. Sh** weather and a lack of 'proper diving' makes us do strange things...

I promise it won't happen again.

I think Paul Smith, on this forum, might have something to do with that octopush club (well, he goes to Weymouth on a Sunday evening to play octopush, so I'm assuming it's that club).

Be warned though, they make you wear a very skimpy thong before they let you join in! (apparently Paul wears his to the pub afterwards as well - no trousers, just thong, bra and flip-flops).

Forgiveness of sins given after due payment?

In the middle ages they used to have a man who went around offering forgiveness to anyone who paid up - looking at the picture I'm just wondering whether he might be one of your ancestors?

You want a cold... a guaranteed cold....go to a swimming pool.
Ever since I stopped training for apnea in pools, colds reduced dramatically.
Swimming Pools = Bug Fest = Cold.
