Quote me on a 2mx2m Apnea trainer and Podger will have the 10mx10m.....although do 'im a backup quote for boxing day as he may move to the 15mx15m!!!!roflroflrofl

Brett you might have 1000 12 gauge cartridges but I’ve got a whole heap more and a fair amount that are a tad larger than a mere 12 gauge!!!!:martial Anyhow as you do originate from the colonies I’ll forgive you.:t
Beside since I saw you last I’m just a shadow of my former self, might even have to treat myself to a size smaller wetsuit before long.:):):)
Something that might interest you, i took in a mint double 10 bore yesterday and had a few clays with it this afternoon, it was dusting the clays at 70 yards, to much gun for you though mate as it is almost as big as you are!!roflrofl

I'm told that in the old days round here they used to shoot wildfowl down on the levels with a 4 bore. Dread to think how many pies they had to eat to stay upright!

A lot of the older stuff including 4 bore was black powder loaded so although it went bang with a fair amount of noise and smoke the recoil wasn’t overly painful, although yes the guns themselves were on the heavy side and sometimes mounted on a punt hence the nick name “punt guns”.
Having said that you would have had to make sure all your fillings were well in place as it would of still shook yer teeth a bit being that the 4 bore was one of the original big game African plains weapons.

There you go daft bloke with a 4 bore rifle (not a 4 bore black powder wild fowler)

Well that's just messing around - what you need is a 1 bore punt gun...

I received a dvd copy of the River Cottage programme yesterday - Podge and Bryn did you get yours yet? I'll be putting it online asap so those abroad can see our antics... X

Every dive boat should have one of these to protect against jet skis and idiots in speed boats

Bang on...excuse the 'pun't....;) Mount a couple of those on the RIBS and and go a sink the idiots at winter mooring for sport.:martial

Hi one and all, been off the grid for a while and unable to go into the sea. Been suffering withdrawl symptoms, but now I'm fit for the sea, the sea is not fit for me. Roll on the fair weather.....

Well done to our trio of scallop gathering heroes, Emma, Bryn and Podge for a short but sweet session with HFW. I just loved the sting in the tail, which was beautifully delivered. Nice one Emma!

So when do these squid normally make an appearance around Portland?

the squid been around for bit now foxy but will shooting off soon along with anythin else left out there :-(

Well chaps as the weather has been just a bit S**T over the last 4 or so weekends I reckon we need something to focus the mind, body and soul, so how about a pre Christmas curry sometime over the next couple of weeks.
A Saturday night if poss?(with maybe a night dive before??)
