My DYN training log

Sunday 4/3/2022

4.0 mile trail run in 34.44 (8.41/mile)
pullups/pushups/flutterkicks 3*10/20/10

One of my worst times in a while, need to figure out what is going on. Likely due to lack of sleep/working too much.

Thursday 4/7/2022

3.6 mile trail run in 30.54 (8.35/mile) 1.2 mile splits in 10.02, 10.25, 10.26

Saturday 4/9/2022

4.0 mile trail run in 34.47 (8.42/mile)
pullups, pushups, shrugs

Starting to feel pain in my left hip flexor, probably a strain from flutter kicks last time.

Tuesday 4/12/2022

4.0 mile trail run in 34.00 (8:30/mile)
superset pullups/pushups 2*15/20

I was trying to take smaller steps and go slower up sharp hills so I don't worsen my hip. No sharp pain, just dull pain/soreness but when I stopped running it cramped up. So I will probably take a week off from running.

Thursday 4/14/2022

3 mile trail walk (fast pace, 45 minutes)
pullups/pushups 15/30, 15/30, 10/20
shrugs

Trying to do some rehab walking for my hip flexor until I can run again.

Sunday 4/17/2022

~4 mile run/walk on a hiking trail (about 350 ft elevation gain) in 1:02 (1 hour 2 minutes)

Doing non-running stuff again, hip feels much better.

Thursday 4/21/2022

4.0 mile trail run in 34:00 (8:30/mile)
pullups/pushups 2*12/24, 1*10/20

No progress on my hip, so looks like I will be doing much more hiking stuff like in my last entry. I will probably start some open water swimming next week as well.

Saturday 4/23/2022

~4 mile run/walk on a hiking trail (same one as before) in ~56 minutes

Thursday 4/28/2022

~4 mile run/walk on a hiking trail (same one as before) in ~52 minutes

Was able to run most of this, looking to improve and break 50 minutes next time

Thursday 5/5/2022

~4 mile run/walk on a hiking trail (same one as before) in 53:30

Took a 2:00 call during, so my time was likely faster than last time. Ran almost the entire time, moreso than before so good improvement. However, feeling some knee pain in my right knee so I need to limit this to 1x/week.

Saturday 5/7/2022

open water swimming exercises

~1400m in 32:30 minutes

Slightly faster than last weekend. Should be back in the pool again end of the week for my regular interval training.

Sunday 5/15/2022

stair master intervals (5 * 2 min slow / 2 min fast)
Slow at 60 steps per min, fast at 90
pullups pushups 12/25, 10/20, 10/20

The pool closure has been extended, what a joke!!!

Thursday 5/20/2022

~4 mile run/walk on a hiking trail (same one as before) in ~51:30 (new record)

Friday 5/27/2022

4.0 mile trail run in 34:47 (8:42/mile)
pullups/pushups 2*12/25

Tried running today, hip is still not 100% for running and my right knee has some minor muscular discomfort that I've been taking care of. Will be back swimming starting tomorrow.

Warmup 400m
6*100 breathing 3/5/7/7/5/3 departing every 3:00 (1.46, 1.47, 1.49, 1.50, 1.53, 1.55)
2*150 departing every 5:00 (2.44, 2.48)
