smooth skin? Brave!

Just out of interest, what state of the tide did you embark on your trip from meadfoot to oddicombe? Does the current work in your favor heading in that direction? I have alway thought it was a bit dangerous around there. Or are you just mad?:crutch

The tide was dropping. Yer around the flat rock and thatchers there is some strong current. You just have to hang on lol:).

Hi All

Still out in Florida and visited the local dive supermarket today and was thinking of bringing a speargun home. Does anyone one know the state of affairs for transporting such things as the Americans have me near naked everytime i go through customs already; shoes off, belt off etc etc?

Hi shiny1 NICE LOBSTER and equaly NICE GUN ive often toyed with the idea of an RA but i seem to be hooked on cressi guns at the mo:).

I dived south hams yesterday with around 4 to 5 meters viz, saw tons of pollack but nothing of eating size. dived the bay today and had 1 to 2 meters tops, only bagged 8 scallops as I gave up the hunt and did some bottom time training. 10 meters with 1 minute breath hold. so getting better.

wind looks like it going to be westerly for a while so hopfully the bay will be divable by Friday.

Lovely Lobster that man, good early season find :)
Hope you enjoyed it.:p

A 7lb lobster is a fantastic catch - that is a serouisly big lobster that could easily win the Fom competition? Unfortunatlly you need to make a few more post befor you can enter.

Hi scott,
Been back for a week. Going diving on friday evening and sat morning. I will be looking for spider crabs near Exeter. See if they have arrived here. Sign of them down there?
Send me a text again with you number mate, i have changed phone and lost it.

Go anyway wins every time
If you dont go and I post a picture of the bass Im going to catch from the bay 2moro YOU ARE GOING TO KICK URSELF

2 meters at tops mate with loads of crud BUT that was meadfoot and the current was going towards the beach so I would say babbacombe side should be clearer

Dived at 4pm today and saw zero fish,:head due to been 4inchs from the bottom scratching around for scallops :) getting out to the spot for the scallops was easier than usual due to the wind but I paid for it with the swim back.

Saw a female brown crab with what looked like red eggs and a few spiders but left them as the last crab I caught has put a hole in my scallop bag, i dont feel so bad about eating him now roflrofl

Came home and turned the kitchen into a mini scallop cleaning factory, it drives the girlfriend mad but it has to be done.

Killien when you coming down again mate the crabs were asking where you were:)
