Chris - when I first read this i laughedrofl so much I couldn't post a replyrofl
Gaz took the p*** out of me when I was a bit over protective of my new boat. And he spent the rest of the day makin sure I new how to "right it" if we capsizedrofl

Definitely a mini paul smith in the makingrofl........ anchor rope between the black and red buckets, anchor between the 2 red buckets........ before you know it he'll be catch taxingrofl

Still, i can't blame him with a butter fingered clutz like me on board! Glad someone knows whats going on.........maybe thats why he only trusts me with the oars!

Another big thanks to Gaz as his selflessness reduced a severe, 3 day, marriage wrecking bollocking to just a stiff, 2 hour reprimand.

Good fish by the way.....anywhere i know?

Guys, I am not sure if I will be kicking the ass out of it, but besides the normal Club dive Tuesday, does anybody fancy tomorrow? I'll probably do Thursday with Cesar if he is still up for it.

Tuesday & Thursday defo, tomorrow anyone?

And my first go at underwater filming - just got to remember to pull the trigger aswell....

Hi everybody.
It looks like again there are some successful stories .Paul ,nice video mate!!!
I have been in Lulworth camp bestival this weekend so loads of music, gruffalo,Mr Tumble and company so looking forward to tuesday dive.
Kind regards

Dude, if you ever get your own boat I can't wait to be the first person on it so that I can put things into any old random place that takes my fancy!

You should count yourself lucky that I haven't adopted Paul's impossibly complicated system of signals to indicate: 'fish seen'; 'fish not seen'; 'fish caught'; 'fish not caught'; 'potential for fish at this spot'; 'no potential for fish at this spot'; 'boat moving in 5 minutes'; 'anchor coming up'; 'boat moving now'; 'fish seen but not caught'; 'fish caught but not seen'; 'no potential for fish at this spot, however, paradoxically, fish caught'; 'anchor coming up but fish seen, so anchor going back down'; 'boat moving now, unless fish seen, in which case anchor back down, unless fish goes away, in which case wait five minutes for fish to return, as still may be potential for fish at this spot . . .'

Basically, it's easier to become fluent in Swahili, in a single afternoon, than it is to pick up the rudimentaries of Paul's semaphore system over the same period of time.

Mate, can you confirm for me that your fins are hard, camo, fibre glass, leader fins, size 42, as I'm in the market for a pair? And what is the make/type of mask you were using, and where can I get one of those too?

No problem with lessening the blow from your missus - I managed the boat on my own with no dramas (and you are still welcome to come out on it any time).

Paul: just pulling your leg mate - I like your signals (even if I did spend most of my time under water worrying about whether I was going to remember them)!

I propose either Osmington or Lulworth for club dive tomorrow - thoughts?

Gaz's - "I propose either Osmington or Lulworth for club dive tomorrow - thoughts?"

How about Sandbanks or the Training bank

Seriously I'm up for Lulworth out the two suggested - any other nominations?

Maybe we should form a daisy chain across the entrance to the harbour, to demonstrate to everyone just how effective their 5 inch Alpha flags are at halting the traffic.

I guess it's Lulworth for tonight then. Not sure what the conditions are going to be like, as it's blowing west as usual, but at least we can count on the curried popcorn souffle thingy afterwards.

I'll call Broughy to send out the texts.

Edit: Couldn't get hold of Broughy, and now I'm going out early to drop in somewhere else, before the club dive - see you at Lulworth.

Does anybody know of any free parking areas near the cove?

Tight fisted and proud of it.

You can park on the road bout half mile away if you can find a space! Car park is free after 7pm so I pay for an hour at half five and should be ok!?

Hi guys any good last night for the club diving? I had to skip it my friend come to see me from Bristol and I had to take him around but couldnt resist to go in the water for just one hour (it was my day off). 8.42lb was my reward! It worth to show you a picture for such a big beauty:friday

^^^Bloody good fish that mate!!!^^^

went in myself this morning to 'my spot'. drifted out over the jap weed and suddenly was aware of a dark shape up against the weed.....it was still super early so quite difficult to make anything out. it turned and i saw the tell tale white crescent on the gill plate confirming it to be a good size bass, maybe 5lb. took the shot, missed:head and then spotted another as i was loading up, again in the 5lb range. they bolted before i could reload. then, out of the corner of my eye, as i squinted to see in the twilight conditions i noticed another big black shape hanging just above the weed. the gill plate gave it away initially but as my eyes adjusted i could tell he was a biggun.....just hanging there as i faffed. just then my buddy (a novice) appeared next to me and i frantically tried to point out the great big shape in the dark without spooking it. i have no idea what was going through his mind at this point but he just pointed the gun in the general direction i was pointing and fired, missing by a country mile???!!!!! i asked him how the hell he missed that bloody great sitter and he said 'oh, i didn't even see it, i thought you just wanted me to test fire the gun'.WTF!!!!! test fire the gun??!! jesus!!:head:head that was, surprisingly, all we (I) saw bar a couple of big mullet but they're not my cup of tea.:t

ps. it was strange looking at bass that appeared almost black side on:martial. thats the first time for me that they haven't been glowing silver/grey and i get up early and fish the twilight alot. weird.

pps. well done again tony!!

Thanks Chris, mate is a period of bad luck or what,it happen to me sometimes for few days in a row that I miss a easy shot.
