Sorry mate, I'm off to London on Monday and Tuesday.

.

Just found out that my trip to London has been cancelled, so I'm available for the club dive tomorrow (sorry Cesar, looks as though I could have gone with you today after all, if only I'd known sooner).

Lulworth has been suggested as the venue for tomorrow. I'm happy to go anywhere, but it looks as though it is going to be blowing from the south, which might cloud Lulworth up a bit.

Can I suggest Newton's Cove (Bincleaves) as a back up - it's looking a bit more sheltered there tomorrow.

Go to Lulwoth first and then, if that's no good, move on to Newton's - or is that too much driving for a Tuesday evening after work?

Thoughts/comments?

I Think I have been to Bincleves before, is that Castle Cove area in Weymouth, under the castle? Or is it outside the harbour.

I should be able to manage it, but is a bit of a drive & getting through Weymouth, I think. Maybe you can do a recce or something. But I don't mind anything really, I just need some fishy action.

It's outside the harbour mate, on the north east side. There's a little bay there that we can fish in, as long as we stay in the eastern part of the bay (away from the harbour arm, because apparently that is a no-go area).

It's probably gonna be clearer than Lulworth - although there are no guarantees about anything. I'll try and recce it during the day, if I get time.

Only snag is that we'll be hitting it on a dropping tide - but hey ho.

Binkleys is fine with me - might be best to go straight there tho if wind stays as predicted? What do you chaps think?

I'd call that Newtons Cove not Bincleaves...just a humble opinion:)

Agreed. I called it 'Newtons Cove (Bincleaves)' in the first post, and then it changed to Bincleaves over the next few posts, so probably my fault.

Let's refer to it as Newtons Cove from here on, to save confusion.

I'm all for going straight there and missing out Lulworth.

Call it what you like - just down mentions "arms" or "harbour"

Newtons Cove is Weymouth side of the wall and Bincleaves is on the inside of the wall, then the Underbarn, then Castle Cove (nice beach shack cafe), then the Castle and then erm I always call it Second Beach (bottom of Old Castle Road) then Castle Cove Sailing Club (it used to be in the Cove years ago) and then Whiteheads and then Ferry bridge..
