Chip, you have seriously outdone yourself ! And by the way, the reason you can't walk is because you no longer need to. You have now officially become a merman. A little on the hairy side, but hey, a merman nevertheless...

So are we to understand that this particular swim skin acted as a sort of cocoon, completing a metamorphosis that had up to this point been stalled by our atmosphere? ;)

Hmmmmmm...... Guess the fallen speedo thing was an issue for the lady who helped me get it back up....

Supposed to find a different pool for next Halloween according to the nice officer ¡

Don't offer to bale me out.... Only kidding!

Wearing Wookie costume to my Mom's 90th birthday at her rehab facility in Lincoln Nebraska tomorrow... She just got a pacemaker. I've figured a way to be well over 7' tall. Mom had polio at 11 months old. Had to wear braces on her leg as a little girl plus crutches. She swam to get strong enough to walk ..... so she choose to put me in the water early too! Did the same for my kids. Swam well as infants.

She and her mom were befriended by mobster Buggsy Moran with rides in a big black limo to and from the hospital whenever she was in Saint Louis Misouri for surgeries and braces. Tough ladies!

Sounds like a tall story chip, but I do believe you

Looks like Ted will finally be able to work away on the list of waiting customers!

Only 8 months now.

Nice to see that Stephan visited the shop and even nicer to see some photos!

Poseidon!

Sadly, I did scare the poop out of Doc and Ted for a few minutes yesterday morning with the can't walk thing.....

Ted actually.... And kindly called immediately to help me get back up.... He gave a couple of details you guys might appreciate:

Sarcomere mentioned one of his flukes had a slight surface imperfection.... Ted's perfectionist self took a day to figure out how to avoid that imperfection going forward.

As you surmised Poseidon he is completing and shipping the further perfected Lunos daily..... Gaining on the back log!

Orders are also coming in at a healthy rate.... So our future together is brightening!

Good news and bad news:

Good news first:
- this showed up tonight:
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414817826.481145.jpg

Bad news:
- I blew out my knee last week (PCL) at UWR and SHOULD rest it / rehab for min 4-6 wks (if it's not fully detached).

Reality...
I'll probably swim it next week or worst case, the week after. :D

Hell... I was -30m in Roatan with carbon bi-fins 2-days after breaking my ankle and the day before that was CNFing it (if it was going to heal... I wanted it to heal fully pointed without a limit on ROM!). I actually think I also initially damaged the PCL at the same time as the ankle.

It'll force me to use a classical monofin technique and not get too knee-bendy.

It's a shame I won't be able to really jump on it. :(

In the meantime, I hope to put it on the feet of a good local diver and get to watch it in action and maybe even record some of how it's behaving.

AA¡ .... Bummer! That's not what we've been hoping to read from you¡

Don't mean to be too ignorant but UWR is? Under Water Rugby? Never seen it in person on the surface... Must be rough!

That IS a much more serious looking spring than the previous ones. Hope you get to bending it soon.

Photo of current bruised hip after bouncing off concrete due to untimely bicycle flat....

Time for RS...UWR = Remote Synchronized...Under Water Rehab!!!

Got in the water tonight with another local diver who tried the 2015 Lunocet on (and she had tested the 2014 pro previously) and just couldn't stop myself from taking the 2015 for a spin. Hell, it'd been about a year and a half of input / work / feedback / R&D.... How could I not give it a whirl!?

I didn't have a neck weight (as an intended barrier for me to NOT use it)... But I just blew my air out first. I knew from the first 2 kicks backwards with my head above water how this fin was going to feel / work... even with a gimp-knee.

I'll most likely end up in the damn pool on Wed with the neck weight and trying for a somewhat objective / quantifiable comparison swim.

As an aside, the other diver is located in Canada and selling a size 42 medium stiffness Waterways Glide Hyperfin, although she can also meet up in Roatan, Cayman or Bahamas.

That's the spirit, you've got a spare leg after all

AA,

Good to read you are able to get your fin on and give it and your knee a test ride. Hope both bio and biomimicing devices dangled carrots for you to chase.

Extrapolating from what you wrote.... Imagining those first two strokes revealed a great device strapped to your feet.... And that Miss 42 Medium Glide is marketing her previous favorite fin to make room in her life for a new 15 Luno? Sounds like she has the dream travel itinerary in her future. That would be a rave review from her following a single test swim.

Thinking what an achievement in universal application it is if all of us like the same fin simply personalized by using our own shoe size and moving a flex adjusting pin!

I know the 15 Lunos are arriving just as outdoor swimming cools down but there must be others getting in their early test swims.... Any insights?
