New suit arrived, fits like a dream indoors! Just have to give the gun the once over and then find a free day. It has to be said I am pretty eager to get in!!!
SJ any luck with your shooting? :-D

Yeah. Went for a quick wander around the fields and had 2 rabits for 2 shots. No great range, around the 80yard mark.

80 yards! That's not a bad range at all, is that with a .22rf? It's still a bit cool to bring them out but I have noticed at some of the fly fishing lakes I go to they are popping out more often, anyway back on topic; does anyone know where I could get hold of some beaver tail fastenings for my old suit? I compared both of my suits yesterday and I reckon that I could resolve the fastening issue on my old Omer suit and it's Velcro beaver tail fastening with a couple of twist lock fasteners. Despite scouring most of the world wide web yesterday I could not find anything suitable. I know that Omer used to do a replacement kit for fasteners but I can't find one or a suitable alternative.
Any ideas?

Night dived the south coast last night with Andy. Reasonable viz, but we didn't see much! Might try again next week.

Managed to bag 4 flounders and a decent sized mullet last weekend, there were shoals of silver everywhere and they were full of roe.
So we thought we would venture in this morning at the crack of dawn to see if we could hit a few more, they must of just been passing through last weekend as I didnt see a single fish.
We had been in the water for about an hour I kept scanning left to right then all of a sudden out of nowhere theres a huge grey tail to my right I had several thoughts go into my head and as I looked round a bit further theres a dolphin lying at an angle motionless 6 feet away from me just checking me out, first thing I did was look around to see where the rest of the pod was and how quickly I could get to land as I had no Idea how it was going to react, but it was on its own and seemed quite friendly, it had scars all over its body and what looked like a chunk taken out of the top of its head from a boat prop maybe, then he went over to my friend and wouldnt leave him alone it just kept swimming around him in circles and slightly jumping out of the water, it was some sight.
After several more minutes it swam away over to Gareth (googleyfloogly) to see what he was doing then just carried on with its travels.
All in all no fish were speared we got out with clean wetsuitsrofl and maybe a once in a lifetime experience.

Hey everyone, went out this morning off Lizard area, HUGE shoals of small bass about and a small turbot. Didnt spear anything though, a combination of poor aim and not seeing anything big enough to eat. It's looking promising though!!!
'GoingtotheCoast'- loved the dolphin story, kept my eyes peeled all day but nope, it was just me and alot of small fish!

Thornback ray from today.

I was looking at getting out today but tomorrow seems like a good option for me after I had finished all of my errands, is this south coast?

have to let us know how you get on tomorrow Mr hogan, went out today for a couple of hours, was alot warmer than i expected but still didn't see any fish, hopefully it wont be too long before the bass start appearing.

Went to all of my regular spots on the lizard including mullion area, vis looked good but there was a pretty good swell going on so I stayed dry, I was going to head to the north coast but ran out of time :-( did anyone else get out today? I will go and have a look around again tomorrow.

Still not managed to get in. Hopefully conditions and oportunity will align soon.

Sticking with shooting in the fields in the mean time (17HMR BTW).
