Of course Edin has bass, I'm starting to thing he takes them in with him, he's a great fisherman and a top bloke!

Good luck to all. Have fun and stay safe!

Paul

I have been out this evening, getting a few scallops for the Sunday night feast. 75 today, so will be up until the early hours shucking and freezing. Out again on Friday to add to the total. I hope that Mart has some nice recipes.

Need to be careful how you say that ! rofl No doubt Martyn might have the odd recipe! :) I did some last night on the barbie in garlic then flash griddled in pancetta and chorizo, seemed to go down ok! :)

P.s. have got visitors staying with us so planning to eat at perhaps Cobo Bay tonight so will wave at you lot and perhaps join you for a nightcap!

My recipe will be bung them on the hot plate!

Just been for a quick dunc in the sea with Duncan... I was only in for 45 mins but got a nice bass around 3.5lb & saw the normal mullet!

Vis is ok but with a lot of snot in the water so it can be a bit blurry with the sun behind you but no bad hunting conditions.

I think we have over 40 folk coming on Sunday - 44 if my count is right so please don't expect masterchef cooking!
Don't forget to bring your own drinks....

Forecast for today is very hot & low wind, tomorrow looks a bit dicey with showers & sun, Saturdays competition weather also looks a bit suspect with high wind & Sunday looks to be another wind less hot one!
So a bit mixed up weather wise but there seems to be plenty of fish around.

Just been out and lifted my pots - lots in, but all small!
the sea is totally amazing today, a bit of swell will mix things up a bit tho. i watched several thousands of seagulls in the air over Saline bay, really spectacular. today is going to be one of those epics... :)

OMG just got to hotel so so easy blue sky hot light breeze fab crystal clear seas lovly beachs lots of rocky bit too . Having ice cream in the baking sun !let me in that sea !

Jonny it looks more & more likely that Sat comp will be held from Bulwer avenue...it just depends of which site you get the forecast from.
SW, SSW or W one thing they agree on is 20 mph!
Those seagulls are feeding on flying ants by the way.

Hi Ian, hope to see you tonight at the Rockmount.... in the meantime get in the water mate!

All very civilised this evening with a good crew for the first social of the weekend.

Final prep going on for the Introductory Social Evening at La Piette Friday night...

On the ferry at Poole... How far is the bus stop from the ferry port guys?

Cheers
Ryan

We can meet you at the terminal mate what time is the boat due in today?

So the weekend officially starts today with the first of two specimen hunts satarting tomorrow.
For Saturdays weather the wind is forecast 4-5 SW to WSW veering W in the afternoon.
This means at least one of the three venues choices will be blown out leaving us the NW knife or the E Bulwer avenu venues. Properly the East coast will be the most sheltered.
Final desision will be announced tonight....
