MONDAY: Conditions looking good! for those arriving today, how about meeting for a dive at 3pm at Rousse ? [where we started the second day of the comp last year]. Its near the campsite too...

I can hardly believe what I did last night....smoked four roll ups & drunk a bot of red wine...I have not smoked for 7 years & hardly ever drink red because it gives me gout .& what have I got today gout & a guilty conscience! Jonny, Eden & Duncan are diving, it is windy today but sw wind is ok.

I was just arriving in St Peter Port when that storm hit. Freaky conditions, the rain seemed to knock the water flat, just leaving the swell, then after about 10 minutes, a series of waves swept into the harbour mouth, lasting about 5 minutes and reaching over a metre high. I sat it out in the pool, wasn't going to try to moor in those conditions.

pretty freaky being underwater when it lights up the sea too!

Early birds had a lovely eve over at foxfish's making sure the beer and wine was sampled and hot plate worked correctly General consensus is that all worked well but might need some more sampling before the official event

Hi Stephan, We are coming over from Jersey on Friday and hope to get a dive in somewhere on Friday afternoon, but as we are not supposed to dive the comp areas the day before the comp (cos wed scare all the fish), is it possible to confirm dive venues before Friday?

If u sort it with the shop asap, and one of us will collect it (latest Thursday) and bring it over Friday.

B4 u ask---sadly, we are not on commission!

Also - Neil (Apnea) should be giving you something to bring over as a prize - can you make sure he gives it to you as it's one of the main prizes!

Mike due to the unpredictable sea conditions & wind direction I would of far rather left the venues until the last opertuanty but if under pressure then they will be the same as last year ... L'Eree, knife & Bulwer avenu.

Horrible weather today, lots of wind and rain!
Looks better tomorrow and much better after that but still windy on sat sun, might be SE or or S or SW so let's hope for sun and SE wind.....
We drove around the island today and still could not find any calm sea however I think Edin & Granti are still going in around tea time!
Thursday is forecast hot, sunny and calm .....
