I have a 5mm suit and a 7mm suit. I have low body fat and feel the cold when the water temps drop. The 5mm was worn during the summer until early November last year, 7mm during the colder water temp months.

The 5mm is an Omer Blackmoon (same as Camu 3D) - would I recommend it? Yes. Mine has the high waist trousers and compared to my 7mm which has long johns, a small amount of water does up go up the back at times.

However, I now use a thin neoprene undervest (Mares) when wearing the high waist trousers - it stops any water from getting down my back. When walking to a venue, to avoid overheating, I can wear the trousers and undervest and put the top on when I am at the get in point. Also, I don't like pissing in a wetsuit and the high waist trousers mean I can go onshore and do one easily.

My 7mm Mares instinct is a great suit but it's easy to overheat in it when out of the water and the long john trousers means it's more restrictive.

I would have thought that most of the Italian dedicated spearfishing wetsuits would be suitable as long as the fit is ok.
Thanks Kuya I think its gonna be either a Picasso, Oceano or maybe an Elios. I don't know much about the Picasso ones but I do want farmer john bottoms and I believe theirs are. I like the Cressi ones but they are high waist bottoms.

Just been down to Worbarrow bay, no vis at all and seems to only be getting worse and getting slightly choppy, Swanage webcam also looked pretty murky and choppy so looks like its a no go this weekend.

Hopefully it won't be to long. I guess the pool training will have to do for now. Me and my brother found a pool local to us we didn't even know was there which is 6 and a half meters deep just before Christmas. It's perfect for practice.

haha no 10ft mako....

but on a serious note, i think i may have seen ammunition shells ( brass type of metal and round )

so be very very careful if your sneaking around the rocks

yeah vis was bad

It's in Basildon essex. They do let you practice with all gear but it's very hot. It's used for film sets in movies. I try and go twice a week if I can. I just take fins and mask. It's 10 mins up the road from me.
