Why all of these pictures of frogs? Is it because without your Lunocet, you're forced to swim DNF, like a frog... The ANTI-DOLPHIN!?!?

Fins where supposed to be shipped on Monday. Any news on that...?

I'm tracking my 2015 pro and it's en route.

I paid extra for express shipping, so hope to have it by EOW... But might not be able to get it in the water until Wed next week.

Good to hear : ) Anyone else got shipping notification ?

I think reviewers may have priority...

I'm wondering how many 2015's have actually been shipped.

The big numbers questions are returning. Can this new monofin attract enough of the swimming market to support manufacturing?

Will the 2015 Lunocet Pro break the bonds of a test fin and become a production monofin embraced by the field?

This will be my fourth Lunocet. I've greatly enjoyed the first three but they have really been proto types needing attention to keep swimming. The earlier designs bounced back from the first purchasers to Ted seeking more performance and durability.

This 2015 Lunocet shows promise to be the first one to reach and thrive in production mode. That means these first thirty bolt on shoes and swim away never wanting or being forced to return to their previous fins... Whatever they were. That in turn frees Ted to build in quantity.

Just checked www.lunocet.com and noticed a photo I hadn't seen before. Must be the birthplace of our fins.

In my case I think it has more to do with an upcoming trip.

I didn't likely need to pay for express shipping... But I wanted to try it out in a local 25m pool, as it's much easier to quantify and compare the performance under "controlled" circumstances, vs the open water or a pool of irregular dimensions.

I have high hopes for this model. Some of my feedback from my very first swim of the 2014 classic should be incorporated into this design. I'm anxious to see how it feels, swims and performs.

Do a search for "Ted Ciamillo" and you'll find a few others. IMO Ted has an awesome workshop.

Chip, you're gettin' my dander up. I wish you would stop asking questions that shouldn't be at this stage of the sales process as if they're perfectly acceptable. I don't see the word "test" anywhere on the lunocet website, and it ticks me off for someone to be looking to add it after the fact.

As for supporting manufacturing, I figure the 30 he is reportedly producing now brought him $15000, and I'm willing to bet he has more than 3x that many orders on the books. The trick is to get those fins out there and get on with the business. I personally expect to be quite a spectacle at the lake/pool, and I could imagine that word-of-mouth would travel fairly well from each of us. Not to mention YouTube videos, reviews, facebook, ... If the fin works, once Ted actually gets past production, I say it will make quite a stir.

AA,
I think you are one of the best swimmers and the most analytical amongst us. Will be anxiously awaiting your impressions... Have a wonderful trip!

I agree.... Think you are right on track!

High dander is good IF it turns to foam in your wake!!!!

Just as side note:
I notice that every time someone posts anything 'negative' about this product, it gets quickly followed up by a string of comments that have a little or no relevance to the expressed 'negative' post, resulting in quickly moving the 'negative' post to older pages.
This and my waning believe in the product is why I consider leaving this thread. I'm just letting you know, because I like the prospect of the Lunocet in the freediving world, though the past years failures to deliver have all but smothered this hope.

I think it's important to understand people are not complaining out of hate, people complain out of love for the product.
I wish Ted would reply more often (it looks like he keeps up with this and the DOL-fin thread), and inform those who love his flukes, and those that are waiting for them, about his production. Ted has been offered loads of suggestions and I wonder if these have helped in any way. Feedback is needed, otherwise the connection dies.

Kars

Well stated, Kars. And not only does the connection die, but we're left with nothing but theories and speculation concerning the Lunocet situation, and that really isn't best for either party (us or Ted).

Some of my posts were just trying to be funny becasue at this point from all teh waiting, the "next week" 's, the fact that I have a non working fin from months (and couldn't use it all summer) and that to get the 2015 I'd need to get the new flukes.... The only way I just don't cry or lose it somewhow, is to try and take it with humor...
But I guess it makes sense... as one is readding, for content, the funny pics and memes dont help much....

I really hope that all of you try to imagine what does it mean to engineer and build something like this! Even if this Luno Pro2015 is not as good as someone thought... How long was Ted working an engineering on? Compare to how long has it take untill we drive in fast and secure Cars? Keep always in mind, to criticise someone / something mean you should be able to make it better. Words have a lot of power, but who have this power to make it without words?
here`s me again, getting faster...

The issue was never that!! Lots of people, me included, recognized Ted's work and the fin potential
The biggest issue is time estimates. Things not happening when people were told they would, in a recurrent way.
